The fixed mounting kit is designed to enable the opening and closing of underground valves installed on pipelines, as well as alignment/adjustment with the ground level. If needed, fixed installation sets can be adjusted (shortened) on-site by trimming the upper square .
The lower square piece is made of structural steel with a box profile. The connection between the lower square piece and the solid cross-section spindle is achieved by full welding on all four sides of the profile. The lower square piece connects to the valve spindle in two possible ways: using a pin (cotter) inserted through two parallel holes in the square piece, or by tightening a clamping bolt located on the lower square piece. This allows connection to all types of valves, whether or not the valve spindle has a hole.
The outer (protective) pipe of the installation set is made of high-density polyethylene (HDPE R100), while the protective bell, protective cap, and guide profile are made of high-strength polypropylene (PP). The protective bell can slide along the pipe to allow easy connection of the valve (valve spindle head) to the installation set connector. In addition to protecting against the ingress of dirt and moisture into the interior of the installation set, the end cap and guide profile serve to center the spindle and allow unobstructed rotation of the spindle rod within the protective pipe.
